WordPress generates "author" pages automatically for each user which, by default, list the most recent posts made by the user. I've elaborated the concept a bit in my Proscenium UI. What you see here consists of the utility column in the far left (currently containing the control panel), a column of the user's (me) posts, and this wide column containing posts unique to this page...my blog posts, in other words.
The control panel on this page won't have a "start a new topic" link for you. But if you go to your own author page, you'll see the link, and you'll be able to post to your own blog the usual way.
Each author page has a unique url: http://habitablezone.com/author/username/ . You know me as "Robert", but the system knows me as "admin".
It's very rough as of this writing. I haven't figured out how handle comments (maybe only the most recent post?), and other layout issues, like how to present the older posts in smaller, summary form, and give the latest post more prominence...just like a blog. Lots of layout and formatting details still to work out.
I'd appreciate your comments over on Community. Thanks!
