Coming up on the screen - "More see class conflict between rich and poor"

"More Americans are seeing a significant rift between rich and poor people, with most people saying there is a strong or very strong conflict between those who are wealthy and those who are not.

"A survey released Wednesdayby Pew Social & Demographic Trendsfinds that 66 percent of Americans see strong or very strong conflicts between rich and poor people. That’s a 19 percentage point increase over 2009."

Unfocused as yet, this situation is going to get worse before it gets better.

"The strife between rich and poor people is now seen as a bigger issue than other social conflicts, including conflict between immigrants and native-born Americans and tension between black and white Americans, according to the Pew study.

"Despite the perception that there is a growing conflict, the Pew report said they did not find clear support for things like government measures to address income inequality."

Interestingly, the mantra from the right that corrections simply cannot be afforded, they are too expensive will be prophetic. The reality is that for them, the ultra-wealthy, corrections are all that can be afforded. Unless they follow the example of the Bush family.

"Wonkette reports a bizarre story. The Bush Family has purchased a 98,840 acre ranch (154.5 square miles) through a secretive land trust in Paraguay. The ranch, which is close to the Brazillian and Bolivean border is also located in proximity to natural gas reserves and a large water reserve."
