I've had pretty good luck with flu shots.
I do prefer the needle with the killed virus rather than the nose stuff with the "weakened" virus. Usually, only side effect is a sore arm.
The new vaccine? As with most new medical treatments, unless my life is in danger without it I'm not going to be first in line to try it out. Kind of like with 1.0 versions of software.
