I can't recall any movement to change society that was pretty. Unionization, civil rights, integrated schools, women's rights, gay rights, all of 'em, were challenged as ugly, violent, not needed, I agree but it's the wrong way to go about it,
Anything as necessary as reforming Wall Street, in other words the US government, will be attacked as ugly, violent, and so on. If it's a good cause it's going to have to get ugly.
