My daughter's F/inlaw died recently at age 86.

He had a perforated colon and went septic. The Doctors said he had a 10% chance of surviving the surgery and slim to no chance of surviving without it.

The guy was begging for the surgery but the Doctors convinced the relatives to take him home with a morphine drip. He died in less than 24 hours.

Was this the right decision?
