Lots of people do. Many Roman Catholics, and others. I'd say they were crazy as loons, except that loons aren't that bad. This one is a slam dunk.
The recoveries credited to exorcism can be explained by the placebo effect and the attention being given a histrionic person. The rarely last, often with the person reverting to previous behaviors.
