When water gets warm, it evaporates, and water vapor is even more efficient a greenhouse gas than CO2. The only reason CO2 is even a problem (compared to water vapor)is that CO2 does not form reflective clouds, or precipitate out of the atmosphere, or freeze at high altitudes or low temperatures.

However, CO2 does dissolve in sea water, decreasing its pH. We're playing with fire.
