The human factor.

Wouldn't you agree that as long as there are capitalistic chiselers such as the WorldCom bunch, the Enron people, the Madoff's, the large banks, to name just a few, as long as there are people such as that who can manage to parlay capital and greed into illegal fortunes at the expense of trusting investors that there need to be more regulations?

Surely you don't think those people should be turned loose to rape the financial system even more. There has to be a limit to greed and an interest in fairness even within a Conservative heart.

While those people epitomize the Conservative dream, while they have manipulated the system in ways which warm a Libertarian all over, there must be some sense that greed should be constrained to some degree.

And maybe not.

(He's going to say that WorldCom and Enron are old hat, Bow, and ask when you're going to get over it. Well, they are such good examples of the failure of his economic theory, the one he still promotes. Go figure.)
