That's the issue so widely discussed. AI was supposed to free humans of mundane work and expand the human experience to explore creativity. I want an AI that can cure cancer and other diseases, create clean energies that will protect the planet and halt climate change, invent FTL and other seemingly impossible technologies, and establish and run a steadily growing economy that provides fairly for all and promotes social equity (perhaps with a universal basic income). I want humans to do the art, music, theater, film, sports, and all other creative and personally challenging endeavors.
That's not the direction we seem to be heading.
