When you read these mainstream media articles, you need your handy translator:
"Moderate" Does what the Democrats want.
"Bipartisan" Does what the Democrats want.
"Reaches across the aisle" Does what the Democrats want.
"Centrist" Does what the Democrats want.
"Compromise" Do what the Democrats want.
"Extremist" Doesn't do what the Democrats want.
"Partisan" Doesn't do what the Democrats want.
"Polarized" Doesn't do what the Democrats want.
"Civility" Not opposing Democrats.
Those are just a few.
Here's another article from the same paper, discussing a Democrat who actually did step across the aisle, but not in the direction the Democrats wanted. Notice the difference?
