The bottom line for all gun regulation is that the only people disarmed are the people that are not dangerous.
Any restrictions on magazine size would be easily modified by someone like the Colorado shooter or anyone else with access to the internet. Semi automatic weapons are easily converted to automatic, silencers are expensive and not readily available but home made models are plentiful.
I have always thought that claiming modified assault rifles are sporting equipment is ridiculous. but all you are doing in the end is changing the appearance of the weapon.
It will take a total ban on firearms to really impact guns in the USA. I don't support that and there is very little support for that. They may try to pick away at the problem but all they are doing is wasting tax dollars and they will not save lives at the end of the day.
Tragedies like these make me want to do something but I have no good ideas.
