NASA has been working this idea a long time, and the civilian airliner version, (X-48B) buries the passengers deep inside. (for COG concerns,...I guess?)

The X-48C with a cranked delta wing, might give passengers a chance to look out the window, but something tells me it's optimized for a military application.
