Re: Joplin from space, before and after
There aren't a lot of good aerial shots (and no space shots of course) of the tornado that hit us when I lived in Fridley, MN in 1965. There is a map of tracks here. If you look at the upper right, you can see tiny labels for "Fridley" and "Mounds View." My house was just below the arrow of the Fridley label. We were passed on both sides. Devastation a ten-minute walk in either direction, and all our house lost was a picture window in the living room.
