I have been having fun discussing mormonism with my fundamentalist christian republican sister...
She believes all faiths that are not her own are from Satan. "It's logical" to use her words since "that's how the bible describes it." She was shocked to learn Romney is not just a churchgoing mormon, but was in fact a mormon bishop for 5 years, and then a state (the equivalent to a catholic diocese!) for a number of years. The Romney family goes back to the founding of the mormon church. Mitt built a $20m mormon temple in Mass. This dude believes in Kolob in a big way. He may become president here, but he'll be a god in the next world.
I think it's important for fundamentalist christian Americans to understand just how high Romney is in the church heirarchy. :-)
