Re: In Memoriam
Slick shared with me some of his war memories and how he lost his thousand yard stare. When I first met RNE, he still had it. Through the nourishing of his writing, I think he finally lost that 1000 yard stare but never left the memories behind of friends and comrades lost and deeds done. Both men had a lot to carry around and I was proud to perhaps help ease the pain by the sharing of it.
