I used to watch Fox to keep track of right-wing propaganda methods.
I felt that I could study how they were trying to influence people to adopt their point of view.
Finally, I realized the conservative press isn't trying to convince or persuade their opponents or the undecided. It's sole purpose is to reassure and pacify those who have already bought into their program.
Viewed in that way, some of the conservative agitprop we see right here on this forum suddenly starts to make sense.
