As for Debbie Does Dallas, that was famous, or rather infamous, and really kicked off an increase in popularity of adult videos. DDD actually told a story where before, more of the videos were just hard core sex. With the stories, came a lot of people renting them to enhance their married (and unmarried) sexual lives.

Years ago, an acquaintance and her husband regularly rented them. She gave me some to watch and what I learned was, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. I've never been tempted to view on again.
