On supplies
45 percent of our oil is imported (as of 2011) and of that, 22 percent comes from the Persian Gulf, for a grand total of 10 percent.
Natural gas imports are dropping thanks to recent production advances. Only 14 percent of our natural gas is imported, and 90 percent of that comes from Canada.
I suppose there must be at least some Muslims involved in American and Canadian production.
