Freedomworks is some kind of tax-exempt educational infotainment advertorial agitprop foundation bullshit entity. Its not a business, at least, it isn't chartered as one.

Since this is not a business, I suppose its funding actually does come from contributors. They are the ones who financed the research on Kibbe's little money-making side venture as well as Armey's handsome bonus for not making too much ruckus and to go away quietly. If I were a conservative donor, I would be pissed.
