I got a small set when I was 10. 4 test tubes with rack, a couple of flasks, pipettes, rubber stoppers, a scale, assorted small tools, and maybe two dozen chemicals. And a bunsen burner. I can't believe, looking back, that my parents let me play with fire.

My sister got an Easybake Oven that year. Between the two of us, I think I got the safer gift.
