It's available on Amazon. It's a trilogy of three four-episode seasons, each under a different title (so searching "House of Cards" only found the first one).

House-of-Cards (1990)

To Play the King (1993)

The Final Cut(1995)
"House-of-Cards" is "free" with Prime, the others are $6/season.

I'm not so sure the Netflix remake will show up on other outlets, especially not direct competitors like Amazon. I hear they're spending something like $100 million on it, so I'm guessing they won't be giving it away. Too bad, because the trailers look good and your review is over the top...I mean, I gotta see "the best political drama I have ever watched". Spelling out "I have" instead of contracting it tells me how serious you are!

I'll be watching the BBC "House of Cards" pretty soon, and I'll report back.
