I cannot verify your claims. Just the opposite on a couple.

Taking the NRA as the standard for "gun enthusiasts", here's what they say about universal background checks.

NRA does NOT support universal background checks and is not working with Manchin to implement this type of legislation. NRA opposes, and will continue to oppose, universal background checks and registration schemes.

"The magazine ban was a failed idea from the Clinton era, and will have no impact on criminal misuse of firearms, now, or in the future. It only serves to limit the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans. NRA strongly opposes this amendment. We will work with our allies to defeat this anti-freedom proposal, and will track any vote on the amendment if it is allowed under Senate rules."
Same source, a little earlier. I didn't find anything anytime supporting the magazine ban.

The more extreme measures proposed by Senator Feinstein and others are simply letting sanity rule over what is possible, proposing what is necessary instead of factoring in those with "Rambo" fantasies, which is a considerable portion of the population.

I personally agree with the idea that gun ownership of the type of gun around when that was written should not be infringed. Let 'em have all the muzzle-loaders and flintlocks they want. After all, those are the guns intended by the authors of the constitution. And whatever does "well-regulated militia" mean, or are those junk words?
