Each of us is a library, filled with msny books, some the same, some different.
This is the point I've been trying to make with my posts on subjective universes and personal realities. Each of us sees the world differently, and each of us further interprets and prioritizes what he sees according to his own prejuduces and misconceptions.
We all live in different universes, we all see the same reality differently, and we all see it from different places and times and compare it to differnt experiences and histories.
As someone who fancies himself a scientist, this is so obvious and self-evident to me that I really have difficulty understanding those who reflexively deny it. To think that only our picture of reality is correct and everyone else's must therefore be mistaken strikes me as the height of arrogance and closed-mindedness.
