Not exactly a ringing call for secession. Incidentally, he's wrong about Texas having the right to leave the union in the first place, although he's right in that it was an issue. But the original deal annexing Texas didn't say that. Later, and a court decision in 1869 confirmed that Texas could not secede. In fact, the court ruled that Texas never really seceded in the first place. Long story.

There are probably fifty reasons you don't think he should be president, chief among them that he's not a liberal Democrat.
