Your provide a vivid example of your side's reaction to, if not solution of, the problem. This is it. This is the bottom line. All you will ever offer is reasons why nothing can be done and nothing should even be tried.
You know that's not a very American approach to problems. Or at least it was not in the past. We used to be the guys that would always tackle any problem, even the impossible ones (as enshrined in the Seabees motto: "...the impossible takes a little longer.". Now we seem to be the guys who will talk ourselves out of trying. Sad.
