It's about a priest impersonator who has infiltrated the Vatican's elite commando squad (a highly-trained top secret unit within the Swiss Guard, the Pope's personal hit men). During an earthquake in Rome, a wall collapses and he discovers Jesus' mummified body in the Catacombs, where the Church has hidden it to cover up the truth about the Resurrection.
So he and his hippie friends steal the corpse and go on the road with it. Great stuff.
