Here's my view on that, for what it's worth. Free speech minus racial slurs and threats of violence against anyone. Hostility and name calling can be moved to Flame. Civility is important but so is thick skin. And leave people's family out of it.
As for bad language, "Fuck" is one of the most versatile words in English. It can be a verb, a noun, an adjective, an adverb, an interjection. It can be used in anger, hostility, resignation, surprise, disgust, dismissal. Of course it can used related to sex, etc etc etc. I read somewhere there are over 50 uses of the word.
Personally, I don't give a fuck about some stupid fuck who fucked up a fucking post by acting dumb as fuck and then exclaiming, Oh Fuck!
But generally I think bad language should be used sparingly and if it becomes an overly excessive and unnecessary profanity rant, move it to Flame. I haven't seen much of that over the years in the Zone, this post notwithstanding!
