Tom, you come here because there's a captive audience. Without us there is no sound but your own echo. I suspect in a face-to-face social setting, you have long since learned to be more diplomatic. By being forced to endure your monologues, we've learned a lot more about your motivations, fears and need for reassurance than we have about your ideology.
That's not a criticism of your politics, its an observation of your psyche.
