What do you mean by "traditional" sort? And don't get me started on how the only sort you can name is "binary". This is Geek, let's keep it serious.
The video was great. It gives an intuitive feel for how the different sorting algorithms work. Some have very evocative names; my favorite was the "Cocktail Shaker", which (you can actually see) works as the name implies.
More seriously, it was useful to see two different stats: Comparisons made, and array accesses (getting stuff into and out of the list). That helps you pick the right algorithm. If you're sorting data that's computationally expensive to sort--ranking facial recognition results, for example--you'd pick a sort like "bogo" which seems to require only as many comparisons as items in the list (quite a trick, now that I think about it).
