In the history of this country, a lot of people were hanged for being black.
And they were hanged by people who thought that hanging black people was a fine thing. Because of that, one has a sensitivity to it that one might not have about hanging a white. And the act may have a different meaning attached to it than hanging a white. (either in reality or in effigy)
