Re: China offers a billion customers, but are they worth the cost of getting to them?
This is another part of the great "consumer" myth, the idea that there are people who do nothing but buy stuff. So how do they get the money to buy stuff? Blank-out. How the heck did anyone think somebody in China who was driving an ox last month would be buying a car? Or even a tire? Unless, of course, the Chinese started doing something that would pay them enough money to afford a car. Like, maybe...building cars or something?
I don't know what the hell they've been teaching economists for the past fifty years.
