Well, how about this: stricter punishment for cruelty to animals. An end to the notion that domestic animals are simply property and can be treated any old way the owner wants to treat them?
I know you're a soft touch when it comes to animals, TB, but many people aren't and I don't think they should be given free reign to cause suffering.
