That I deliberately lied, fabricated an episode out of thin air? Ot that I lied about PART of it (since you have already proven, with geometric logic, that Jones did play Lear in Central Park in the 70s.) He may do it every year, for all I know.
Perhaps you can suggest why I would do such a thing. What could I possibly gain by lying? Does it attack the free enterprise system? Does catching me in the lie demonstrate the perfidy of liberals? Does exposing me as a fraud establish your credentials as a champion of truth?
I was simply recounting an anecdote, it was not meant to disparage Mr Jones, or his critics, or to make a comment on the practice of white/black facing. Even though the post appeared on Flame, it has absolutely no controversial or political subtext. Its just a funny story vaguely related to what we were discussing earlier.
I did mention several plausible reasons why JEJ might have been wearing makeup, none of them particularly sinister or racial. Maybe he lost a bet with Sir Larry. Maybe he was covering up a skin rash wirh Noxzema. Maybe he just overdid his normal stage makeup? To coin a phrase, "What difference does it make?"
The fact that there is no record of that performance means nothing, I'm sure he performed that play in that venue more than once, and even though I can't say so for sure (it was over thirty years ago) I don't recall seeing any lights, cameras or sound equipment.
Did you really feel it necessary to research so carefully all this just so you could get me in one of your AHA! GOTCHA moments? "Just for the record", my ass. If I was going to make something up for some sinister purpose. I wouldn't have picked this incident.
Man, you are really one paranoid, fucked-up dude.

Are you implying I made it all up?
