Although I'm originally from central FL, and I've lived all over the USA. Do youns (W PA/Allegheny Valley dialect) think this site figures out where you live from your IP address? I don't sound like the people from where I live. Even my Spanish, which is from 19th century Havana, sounds different than the Spanish spoken here, which is post-mid 20th century Cuban.
It showed the whole country red for me, so I could have really been from anywhere, but it marked 3 towns just minutes drive from me precisely. Since I'm a real Cracker, not from the Miami melting pot, I don't think it could have figured out from my English usage alone that I lived here. I've only lived in S Florida since '95. My speech is probably much more influenced by my mother's than my surroundings, and she was born and raised in a Jewish neighborhood in the Bronx. Most New Yorkers I meet here think I'm from NYC.
