What scares the Right about Obama isn't that he's black.

What scares the hell out of them is that American voters have now twice demonstrated that THEY don't care he's black. The GOPs most effective weapon against progressive politics: blue-collar white religion, reaction and racism, is becoming diluted as the population becomes browner, younger and better educated.

This is why they keep on attacking him so repeatedly, on one trumped up and imaginary charge after another, hoping something will stick, hoping anything will stick. His Kenyan birth, his Islamic religion, his Socialist leanings, IRS, Benghazi, AP, Fast and Furious, Obamacare, AGW, FOX agitprop, gun fetishism, nothing seems to work for them any more. Meanwhile, the economy is recovering (Check the unemployment, deficit and stock market numbers today?). Women are coming to the fore as a political force, gays are mobilizing unprecedented public support, and the Right has insulted them both repeatedly and systematically when it would have cost them nothing to reach out to them. The sky hasn't fallen in Libya, Egypt, Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan or anywhere else. The American people are sick of war and that's all the GOP can offer, but when Obama asked them for their support for military action in Syria they didn't have the cojones to deliver any real support.

Meanwhile, when Obama does blunder, as I readily concede he has done with the Chicom cyberspies, Sgt. Bergdahl and the Veteran's Administration, the GOP has no coherent or credible response or plan of action. They have cried wolf so often nobody takes anything they say seriously any more. All they have to offer is ignorance, hate, hypocrisy and fear. They just fly the flag, pray to Jesus, and brandish their assault rifles. They see themselves as patriots, but they're just pot-bellied redneck Rambos.

The only thing the Right can seem to do is bust unions, obstruct, delay, filibuster, extort, blackmail, sabotage, gum up the works, withdraw support from even their own policies when the President embraces them, rig the voting process and spend more and more billions of their fat cat dollars to less and less effect. And why, because the richest people in the country think their taxes are too high.

And no matter what they do, they are so driven by spite and vitriol that they haven't been able to realize that they won't be running against Obama next time. All that hatred and money is being squandered for nothing. Obama will be remembered by history as the President who got us out of the Bush Wars, the Bush Recession, and gave us the first step to universal health care in spite of his enemies. His opponents will only be remembered as those who were capable of trying anything, even provoking a global fiscal crisis, just to make him look bad.

They are petty, pointless little men.
