Waterfalls in a remote area.

Was hiking cross-country in a very remote area trying to get to a lake. The stream which drained it ran down the steep hillside we were fighting our way up. We ran across 4 or 5 waterfalls between 40 and 80 feet high.

I marvelled that these gorgeous sights were running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no one watching. It seemed like such a waste.
