Very often the answer to "you don't respect me" is "what's to respect?"

Women are people, men are people, there is much more in common than not. And the differences tend to complement each other more than compete.

Men are chauvanists, they appreciate and value their own advantages more than they do other people. Women do the same. It's only when one says they are better than the other there are problems.

And the reality is that each is valuable. Having had a mother who was a college professor, a wife who is a physician, a sister who was a higher level executive with the phone company and another sister who was a high paid consultant to AT&T, IBM, etc., I do not discount the abilities of women.
