I have always known that bananas will not ripen in the frig...
but I argue incessantly that it is okay to refrigerate to stop the ripening process. The old Chiquita Banana song has firmly indoctrinated most people and they seem to think that the frig will poison bananas.
The rest of that stuff is the wife's department mostly. I was surprised at the potatoes, onions, and tomatoes warnings. They are all housed in the crisper at our house and my dear wife would probably have a fit if I tried to change this. It all makes a lot of sense so I will probably give it a shot
