This isn't Atlantis or Bigfoot. This is real. There are people in Washington and Sacramento right now deciding my future for me and my kids, and many of them are not intellectually equipped to do so. In either party. There are nations collapsing out there from the exact same ideas that are being pushed on our country. I'm understandably anxious about it.

I'm glad you've got your life sorted out so you can comfortably watch all this from the bleachers. I've got two kids that should be having a better future than Greece has. Me, I'm 58 and starting to look for blue-collar work because I can't count on getting contracts in my own specialty any more. I don't have the time to wait for the writing to pay off, and I don't know how many more years my disabled wife can support us both.

But unlike Cassandra, I guess I can put a sock in it.
