Puzzling.

The active magma driving this is from 0.2 to 0.3 cubic kilometers in volume distributed along a 25 kilometer fault.

It doesn't seem to me that there is enough heat to melt 300 to 1,300 meters of ice over the top of it.

I must not have read that correctly.
