The Martian by Andy Weir
Just finished The Martian by Andy Weir. What an amazing book. Premise is an astronaut gets left for dead as the rest of his crew makes a hasty escape from Mars. Turns out the guy isn't dead, and now he has to find a way to survive with whatever was left over until NASA sends a return trip.
I can't recommend this book enough. The author really did his homework to get as much of the science right as possible. Its a near future book,so consider the tech to be 30 years advanced at most.
It's also damned humorous.
