The GOP could have made some real points on this if they had soberly concentrated on potential incompetence, lack of preparedness, poor intelligence, possible mismanagement, and a variety of other legitimate criticisms that could have been brought up relating to this incident. After all, responsible, respectful, bi-partisan investigative scrutiny following the 9/11/01 attack led to real improvements in our anti-terrorist procedures.

Instead, as they invariably do, after Benghazi the Right went after the Obama conspiracy theory. That's why nobody takes them seriously any more. Not about anything.
