I dunno, seems kinda borderline to me. By the time someone gets to the White House I'd bet they have the hide of a rhino. I agree with ER, though, that the media should probably strive to reflect a respect for the office despite its occupant.
I don't have a reference at my fingertips mainly because I'm too lazy to Google, but I'd guess one could probably find a great deal of broadcast nastiness aimed at W. Is calling the President an idiot less offensive than calling him a dick?
