As their world has collapsed..
they all start out being equal. I love this concept. Everyone steps up to the plate to protect one another. Initially it was to protect themselves individually, but they soon see this will not work. They need everyone. All the characters are NOT wanting to be heroes. They long for their old life. No one knows what each other did in the other life. All they know is now. That is freeing. But a price for that freedom.
In the fenced in community of Alexandria, where a female politician has set up a self sustain environment, is when the lies surface. Not the lies of the Walking Dead family. They are raw and completely truthful. The lies of the community. The walking dead family sense this. They struggle to belong. Maybe being primal is real.
