Last month, I reread a classic...
Must have been four decades since I read it the first time, an assignment in high school, and for good reason.
The novel was far better than I had remembered and I found myself nodding my head through several passages. Judgement based upon appearance and personality verses actual skill or knowledge, the replacing of ideas with images, a personalized computer social network, and the marginalizing of intellect and intellectuals all painted a familiar theme, echoed across the decades since it was written.
Well worth reading again: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, 1953
