But I doubt it would be worthwhile leaving my home world for just one of them; especially if it meant I would have to spend the rest of my life breathing canned air, looking through thick glass, and living in a tin box to do it.
There are places just as beautiful, and just as varied, on Earth. And they are accessible, in shirtsleeves, in one lifetime. I know, I've been to my share of them. That's what makes our planet so special. There is all that wonder, in a very small space, and we are welcome here.
No, I'm not saying we should make a choice. Its out of our hands, actually. But its nice to know our home is a very special place, and no matter how long we stay here, we'll never get to see all of it.
