It seems ironic,

but if Greenland's melting ice leads to a shutdown in the Gulf Stream, it could mean a drastic lowering of temperatures in Europe. Because of the Stream, Europe has a very mild winter climate for its latitude, London is further north than Calgary. This could all change if the N Atlantic gyre is disrupted. A European ice age caused by global warming, and there's no telling what that could do to precipitation patterns elsewhere..

And note that in the map you posted how many quadrats are marked "much warmer" or "record warmest".
