Your clown car contains exactly one clown, representing the core of the "System" in Washington. In the Republican car the people topping the polls right now are outsiders, people who think the System is a big part of our problems. All the Good Old Boy Republicans who would play ball with the System are hanging on by their fingernails, and the only other candidate on the Democrat side is as big an outsider in his own way as Ted Cruz.
Small wonder that Washington is hurling everything they've got at the conservatives, and breaking their backs to defend what may be the only Washington insider left in the election, and one who's getting kicked around pretty good by the polls at that.
