I'm certainly no fan of Murdoch.
I suspect he bought NatGeo as a tool to legitimize and profit from things like O'Reilly's "Killing Reagan" which will be made into a film, from what I've heard.
He'll obviously misuse it to attack his corporate enemies and defend his interests. I'm sure it will seem much the same - maybe even seem more stridently liberal. The devil will be in the details.
