I didn't see "Airplane!" on anybody's list, which strikes me as odd. Surely just about every human alive can watch it again and again and recite every punchline and schtick; and don't call me Shirley.
And then there's "Blazing Saddles". I've seen it dozens of times, I kid you not. Everybody knows what Cleavon Little's going to whip out, but we still gasp in shocked anticipation. We know what happens when cowboys eat beans and it still brings out the ten year old snorts-n-giggles in all of us.
We've known the definition of "salt of the earth" for forty years, but I still listen to the bit holding my breath for the punchline:
And who can argue with Gabby Johnson's authentic frontier gibberish:
Those are two movies that never ever get old. In my ever so humble opinion.
